The recently opened Hotel Sóller Plaza Hotel is an absolute gem. Located bang in the heart of Sóller, one of Majorca´s most beautiful and traditional towns, and surrounded by the UNESCO World Heritage Tramuntana mountains.

Soller Plaza Hotel with La Casona Restaurant

This Sóller valley is known as the Golden Valley and for good reason, blessed as it is with groves of lemons, oranges and olives and enjoyed year round by locals and visitors alike. Hotel Sóller Plaza sits right at the heart of lively Plaza de la Constitución, Soller’s main square close to all local attractions, shops, restaurants and cafés and just a three -minute walk from the town’s Art Deco railway station.

Plaza de Constitution Soller

Do not miss the opportunity to enjoy the magical one-hour mountain train journey into Palma on the ´Orange Express `with its iconic wooden carriages, taking in numerous bridges and tunnels and with jaw-dropping views.

Train Station Soller

Snuggly tucked into its central location, the Hotel Soller Plaza has been largely a new build project and as such the space feels roomy.

Entering through large wooden doors just off the Plaza, you enjoy a welcoming smile from the reception and feel the calm of the inner courtyard open to the sky. Lounge seats allow guests to meet and mingle and a lift ( rare in Sóller old town hotels ) whisks you to your room.

Soller Plaza doors and patio welcoming entrance

The bedrooms, which are laid out over two floors, have several categories but my favourite of course would be the front facing rooms overlooking the Plaza with balcony allowing you to watch the world go by as well as the old trams trundling through the square to and from the Port of Sóller. Decorated in a palate of easy-on-the-eye creams and taupes with dashes of colour in the soft furnishings.

Soller Plaza Superior Room

Fitted out to a high specification with great attention to detail, the furnishings and decor are all down to the expertise of the owners who offer decades of hotel experience and an eye for what matters. With huge beds, crispy linens and the most comfortable hotel pillows, you are guaranteed a good night´s sleep. Hooks perfectly placed around the room and subtle lighting sets a calm and tranquil atmosphere.

Hotel Soller Plaza Double Aspect Bedrooom

Bikes can be stored safely in the bike store for those arriving with their 2 wheeled friends and the adjacent La Casona Restaurant offers breakfast for the guests as well as all day dining. The Hotel Soller Plaza is a cracking new addition to Sóller and even more so with its year round opening.

Something Different

Local breakfast is offered in the adjacent La Casona Restaurant. Served in the elegant dining room, with its two salons, wrought iron railings and chequered marble floors, this is real treat.

Restaurante-La-Casona Soller Plaza Hotel

You can also have breakfast on their terrace when weather permits and enjoy the hustle and bustle of this special town. With a choice of two breakfasts, my favourite is the local offer of ´pan con tomate`, traditional rustic bread served with tomatoes on the side, olive oil, salt, jamon and cheese plus the most delicious local fig jam. All washed down with the Golden Valley´s freshly squeezed orange juice.

What's Special

Be car free !!!

With its location in the heart of town, you can jump aboard the tram down to the Port of Soller with its beach and restaurants, the Orange Express to Palma or the local bus to nearby Deía. All the walking routes in the area can start at the hotel.

Soller Tram Across the Square - Hotel Soller Plaza

Local attractions include the magnificent Sant Bartomeu Church across the Plaza from the hotel and the Can Prunera modernist art museum, just a few minutes stroll away. The peaceful botanical gardens of the Baleares is just a 10-minute walk.

This is an ideal spot for hikers and cyclists wishing to explore the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana.

Restaurants

Breakfast, which can be included in the cost of your room rate, offers two choices and is served between 08.30am- 11.30am at La Casona Restaurant with direct access from the hotel patio.
