Of Mallorcan heritage, Adrian Quetglas hails from Buenos Aires, but his Mallorcan father and grandparents raised him on traditional ‘island’ cuisine.
He honed his skills first in Paris and then in London at Soho´s Quo Vadis with Marco Pierre White, but his true mentor was Marc Fosh (the first English chef to be awarded a Michelin Star in Spain) . Now friends, they journeyed together to Moscow in 2005 where Adrián was to stay to continue his experience before fulfilling his dream of opening his own restaurant in Palma.
Located on the colonnaded Passeig de Mallorca just off Avenida Jaime III, Adrián Quetglas Restaurant´s location is superb for a lazy lunch after shopping or an evening supper followed by a walk along the seafront.
Set on one level the restaurant is modern and bright and feels calm after the hustle and bustle of a busy Palma day.
The degustation menu offers five courses at lunchtime or seven courses in the evening of small plates of deliciousness.
Taking just two courses at lunch as an example, dine on cream of aromatic herbs, black pudding truffle and hazelnut oil, followed by Atlantic trout with fennel and orange beurre blanc and the evening menu includes for example, Mallorcan loin of lamb, spiced puree of apricots, ground pistachios and black olive essence. Adrián´s vision for his food promises guests a complete gastronomic experience.
