Son Sabater by Zafiro

Cocooned in lush woodland, four star Son Sabater by Zafiro is the second boutique hotel the Zafiro Hotel Group. 

Located in the north of the island, the estate of Son Sabater ( meaning ‘ the shoemaker’s house’ ) set in some 50 acres of land dates back to the 16th Century, rewards you with jaw-dropping countryside vistas, lush forests with a Tramuntana Mountains backdrop.  

The historic town of Pollença is a short 10 min drive away, with the white sand beaches of Port de Pollença just beyond. 

The main house is part of a collection of smaller stone dwellings, all beautifully restored into private villas and suites with interior design by Marga Rotger. Natural materials of wood and polished stone complement whitewashed walls, traditional beams and creams and taupe fabrics, creating a rustic contemporary haven of calm.

There are just 15 bedrooms, suites and villas in six categories, each offering impressive countryside vistas.

The deluxe doubles are in the main house along with the Junior and Deluxe Junior Suites. 

The one bedroom suites offer plenty of room to spread out with separate living area adorned with comfy sofas to sink into and a private balcony from which to admire those glorious views. 

For those seeking a little more privacy, book the one bedroom suite villas (with or without terrace ) which are generous in size, dotted around the grounds.

There are two pools, one outside, flanked by sunbeds and one inside in the wellness area along with sauna and Turkish bath as well as two treatment rooms. 

The á la carte restaurant, open to both residents and non-residents, serves lunch and dinner daily offering a locally sourced Mediterranean menu.

Lunch is a relaxed affair, with a menu focused on traditional island dishes and Mediterranean cuisine including salads, meat, fish and rice plates. Dinner provides an extensive menu with delicious starters such as croquettes, followed by fresh grilled sea bass with garlic and chilli. Delicious.
