Aethos Mallorca

The sleek, on trend, 5* luxury Aethos Mallorca flanks the coast in the south-west of the island with only the melody of the sea as its soundtrack. 

This youthful hospitality group is bringing something new to the industry with its experience-led boutique hotels and member club brand opening up across Europe with Mallorca having opened in the summer of 2025.

The hotel design is unique, with a cluster of three buildings externally clad in traditional stone which integrate seamlessly.

All rooms are sea-facing and flooded with natural light and accommodated within two low rise and one towering nine-storey building with breathtaking 360 degree views from its rooftop – more about that later.

On arrival, the open plan lobby offers a welcoming ambience where the professional and friendly team ensure an unhurried check-in with a cooling drink while you take your first views of the glistening infinity pool dotted with inviting sunbeds and the azure blue sea beyond. 

The 61 rooms and suites are uniquely designed and flooded with coastal light, with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the calming sound of the sea.

All are elegantly furnished in a palette of beige and cream, using quality local products, wood and linen furnishings, comfortable sofas and king-sized beds.

There are several categories to choose from, Deluxe Mountain or Sea View, Terrace, Cliff or Junior Suite Sea view and the signature Aethos and Tower Suites. 

If you book the Tower Suite, which is very generous at 66m2, a screened terrace with an outdoor tub offers complete privacy while you bathe. Inside, a separate living area with sofa and reading nook gives you space to spread out.

For such a compact site, the facilities are really impressive including the heated infinity pool, solarium terrace, access to the beach, spa and two restaurants and a rooftop terrace to enjoy the sunsets.

The signature restaurant ONDA celebrates the vibrant flavours of Mallorca serving fresh, locally sourced ingredients with those all important Mediterranean views while the IKAT Pool Club serves drinks and simple dishes like sourdough pizza, salads and indulgent hamburgers throughout the day so that you don’t have to venture far for refreshments. 

Head to the spa for a cold plunge, soothing jacuzzi or grab a seat in the hammam, which is the highlight, offering floor to ceiling sea views. There are several treatment rooms with an extensive spa menu. 

The location is perfect. Palma can be reached in 20 minutes by car and in the same time, in the opposite direction is the pretty seaside town of Andratx, while lively Puerto Portals, a hub for chic nightlife and yachts, is just a 10-minute drive.
