Aubocassa Olive Oil Estate in the east of the island has succeeded in it’s mission to produce the very best virgin and extra virgin olive oil.
Originally purchased to grow wine, after some research the owners decided to plant olive trees instead. Roll on twenty years and the estate, dating back to 12th century covering 60 acres, now produces olive oil exported worldwide.
Their signature oil is ‘Aubocassa’ but, as demand has grown, so a new product L’Amo has been, made from olives grown on land not owned by the estate but overseen by Aubocassa.
Aubocassa Olive oil offers a mild but intensely fruity taste and has received many awards, both nationally and internationally.
The estate is open to visitors and tours through the groves and tastings can be booked ahead.
The charge is €20.00 per person for a 90 min tour through the groves and a history of the estate, a visit to the mill and culminating in an olive oil tasting.
The estate is easy to find and you will be warmly welcomed upon your arrival. If you happen to be in Mallorca in October or November you might arrive during harvesting.
