Following an ingenious renovation using cool Scandinavian design, the elegant 1954 Espléndido Hotel has been transformed into a desirable ‘go to’ seaside retreat in the Port of Sóller.
The hotel’s location on the frontline with the 100 year old tram to Sóller clicking past, overlooking the Mediterranean sea and with the majestic Tramuntana mountains as a backdrop, is hard to beat.
Sliding doors welcome you to the light and bright lobby and reception area which leads into a stylish lounge-bar and chill out area complete with easy-on-the-eye lighting and the obligatory Scandinavian retro-chic furnishings.
Simple white walls are dotted with contemporary art and complemented with eye-catching furnishings in a mix of Mediterranean colours enlivened occasionally with bold-patterned wallpaper and uber-cool sofas beckoning you to lounge.
The bedrooms, laid out over 4 floors, are all different in size and all follow the same theme of white with the occasional bold colour thrown in.
There are several room categories to choose between from a garden terrace room with the scent of the stunning gardens and easy access to the pools or a front facing sea view room with balcony or terrace.
A sumptuous spa is located on the second floor, offering an extensive range of treatments, sauna, Turkish bath and heated indoor pool and there are a further two outdoor pools offering spectacular views, one of which is heated.
The bistro restaurant and bar is open all day serving an excellent international menu and is very popular with guests and locals alike. You can dine inside overlooking the promenade or outside on the sunny terrace facing the sea.

There is a snack bar menu as well as a full à la carte menu and a spacious cocktail bar & lounge where you can sip away inside or out while watching the world go by.
