Nobis Hotel Palma
With it’s rich history, the city holds many hidden gems and the new über luxury five star Nobis Hotel Palma brings back to life one of its treasured historical buildings.
Originally an Islamic Palace in medieval times, Nobis Hotel Palma embodies the best of Swedish and Spanish design, blending a painstaking restoration of this ancient building with a sophisticated palette of sumptuous and chic furnishings and contemporary decor.
Organised around two interior patios, guests can reflect its past inhabitants while admiring the Arabic calligraphy on the decorative panelled ceilings inscribed to protect those staying within. Inspired by history, the handsomely renovated interiors blend old with new seamlessly.
Perfectly positioned in a peaceful neighbourhood of the Old Town, you are just minutes from all Palma’s attractions, restaurants and shops.
The 37 bedrooms and suites are set over three floors, with decor inspired by the building’s history with laid-back elegance and contemporary luxury that is a Nobis Hotel’s signature.
Influenced by the historical architecture, no two bedrooms are the same. All offer a welcoming palate of white and beige, warm grey and mocha. Natural materials such as wool, leather and wood create an elegance of contemporary luxury. There are six categories of rooms and suites from Superior to the Nobis Suite.
With quality designer pieces from internationally regarded brands, custom-made beds frames by Carl Hansen and subtle lightning blend well with bespoke furniture and locally sourced pieces. The Nobis Suite , their signature suite, is vast at 84m2 ( see more information below) with double aspect gives you plenty of room to spread out.
There are two Roof Top Suites, ( above and below) each with a private terrace boasting a spectacular view of the iconic La Seu Cathedral.
For sun lovers the sun terrace is more than generous, complete with loungers, outdoor rain showers to cool down in the summer months and just steps away a snug plunge pool for complete immersion. Open exclusively for residents during the day and open to non residents in the evening.
Head up one more floor and you will meet the Rooftop lounge, with panoramic views over the rooftops of Palma and the iconic La Seu Cathedral. Focusing on the finest cava and champagne, together with a unique selection of wine and Mallorcan handcrafted beer, the Nobis Rooftop is the place to indulge yourself in the Mediterranean spirit.
Imaginatively built in the vaulted ‘cave’ in the lower ground floor, the spa is quite unique. A relaxing environment beneath the footsteps of the old city, where you can swim in the heated pool, steam in the sauna or be pampered with a treatment from the extensive spa menu.
Local chef Xema Álvarez will continue to work his magic in the hotel’s signature restaurant NOI Restaurant as he has in their hugely popular sister hotel Concepció by Nobis, just a few minutes walk away. Offering a modern touch on Spanish cuisine, the sharing menu offers specialities such as croquettes, Iberian pork tacos and cristal breads with olive oil and pressed tomatoes.
The dining area merges past with the present with an eclectic selection of bespoke stylish furniture and locally handcrafted alabaster pendant lighting which together set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Seating is inside and spills out onto the interior courtyard patio in the warmer months.
Alway from the madding crowds and yet moments from all of Palma’s attractions, this stylish hotel is going to be the talk of the town.
