La Goleta, the latest hotel addition to Pollensa´s waterfront is more Miami than Mallorca.
Situated right on the seafront in Puerto Pollensa, this recently renovated hotel has been in the same family for over seventy five years.
Looking for something completely different, the family decided to be bold and have delivered a cool minimalist style of whites with accents of blue to tie in with its waterfront location.
On the ground floor you will find the already very popular Argos restaurant (www.mallorcantonic.com/argos), on the first floor the welcoming reception and some of the bedrooms whilst the majority of the bedrooms are all situated on the upper four floors.
The bedrooms offered are superior sea view or standard side view both with a balcony or, if you fancy pushing the boat out as a savvy off seasoner you should consider the La Goleta seaview jacuzzi junior suite with it´s panoramic bay views. All rooms are generous, stylish and chic with clean white decor and a mix of blue and white furnishings to mirror the surroundings.
Situated on the rooftop is the outdoor decked plunge pool with bar and light refreshments menu.
In the short time this hotel has been open, the reviews from guests have awarded them a standard of excellence so expect to be spoiled by the attentive and personal service from the dedicated staff.
Ok, so you would usually expect a garage for cars but not in this neck of the woods. This is cycling territory and in the low season when when the intense heat of summer has passed, the cyclists arrive in numbers. So if you are a keen lycra clad cyclist (or just a casual cyclist) you can be assured that his hotel will take the upmost of care of your two wheels in their lock-up bicycle garage complete with bike washing area and workshop facility. The hotel can arrange bike hire for guests.
The location is just perfect for beach lovers, promenade walkers, cyclists and for those who want to be in the centre of the action in Puerto Pollensa. Just a short bus ride away are the historic towns of Alcudia and Pollensa with their weekly markets offering unique glimpses of traditional island life.
It is very hard these days to discover frontline hotel properties with uninterrupted views of the sea so this hotel is a real find. Book early to avoid disappointment!
