This unique and urban-chic hotel Brondo Architect, is situated slap bang in the middle of the old town and just a short stroll down to the Bay of Palma. Enveloping three buildings, one dating back to the 17th Century, the hotel was the collaboration of six architects who ingeniously redesigned the space, producing a light and airy city centre hotel where old and new can sit comfortably side by side.
Keeping with the architectural theme, each room is named after a famous architect, so you may find yourself in the Eduardo double, the Oscar premium terrace (below) or the Louis suite below complete with piano!
This room is decorated with a nautically inspired modern theme contrasting beautifully with its Victorian history and retained decor. But the real draw lies in its direct access to a private roof terrace offering fantastic sweeping views over the city of Palma.
The outdoor courtyard restaurant on the first floor is a superb space to enjoy breakfast, a coffee and cake or dinner.
When it gets a little cooler, you can retreat indoors to sit and be cosseted by the fire.
Location, Location Location. Hip city-centre hotel, but just enough off the beaten track to offer a quiet calm.
So central in fact, you can drop your off your shopping bags and be out again in seconds, while the always friendly staff, will deposit your purchases to your room.
Another little treat is to take a refreshment from the bar up to the ‘chill out’ area on the roof terrace, where you can take in the amazing views of Palma’s old town whatever the Mallorcan weather.
The restaurant on the first floor serves a leisurely breakfast from 08.00 -11.30am at a cost of €14 (or you may have chosen to include the cost at the time of booking).
After breakfast, the space offers coffee, yummy homemade cakes, juices and drinks from the bar.
From Wednesday to Saturday in the evening and Sunday lunch, through till late, The Insider Restaurant offers tapas to start, tapas to pick at, and tapas for those with a bigger appetite..and they are all delicious!
