Bonnie Lass is a gem of a fishing trawler, built in 1949 in Scotland and under various owners worked ring-netting herring, dredged for scallops and fished for salmon and finally put out to pasture to spend our her days in the maritime museum in La Rochelle France.

But for Bonnie Lass, there was another adventure ahead when British couple Roo and Pete Lucas spotted her and there the love affair began.

She was brought to her new home of Port de Soller and then began the enormous challenge of bringing her back to a sea worthy condition and an extensive interior refit.

Roll on a couple of years and the huge demand for classic wooden yacht charters meant that Bonnie needed a sister, enter Morwenna, named after a Cornish saint, thought to mean “maiden”.

Morwenna is a 45 foot Bristol pilot cutter, based on the lines of the great explorer Bill Tilman’s boat “Mischief”. Her timeless style is a beautiful addition to Port de Soller and a day onboard is a must-do for anyone with a love of classic sail.

Fancy a half and full day charter or a sunset cruise?

Cruising and sailing well into November and taking bookings each year already in March, do not be fooled that exploring by water is only a summer pastime.

Sun-lovers can lounge on the foredeck, with or without blankets.

There is truly something magical about being on the water and looking back at the coast for a whole new perspective, and where better to do it than the rugged coastline of the Tramuntana Mountains.

Bonnie Lass and Morwenna can glide you out of the Port for a half or full day or sunset cruise.

With room aboard on each for up to 10 guest, you can explore the remote calas of Mallorca’s north coast, take in the stunning scenery with catering on board or take a trip to the amazing headland of Sa Foradada (´hole in the rock´) to chow down on paella cooked over an open fire at the cliff-top Restaurant Sa Foradada, accessible only by boat.

Both have an array of water toys, including a 10ft sailing dinghy, paddleboards and snorkeling gear and even the now infamous rope swing on Bonnie Lass.
